FALL TABLESCAPE WITH PIER 1 + HGTV MAGAZINE + FOOD NETWORK MAGAZINE

We are back from our camping trip & I cannot wait to share the entire experience with you all.  The main thing I loved was the feel of crisp cool Fall air starting roll in.  I am so ready for Fall!! Cooler weather, sweatshirts & falling leaves… as long as I don’t have to clean them up!  Fortunately I can give you all a glimpse into Fall with my latest collaboration!  I was able to partner with HGTV Magazine, Food Network Magazine and Pier 1 to create my ideal Fall table.  The table scape had two must haves, black & white.  Obviously those are my go to’s, so this opportunity was a match made in heaven.

While I absolutely love, love, LOVE Fall I am not a big Fall decor fan.  The pumpkins stay on the front porch and that is about as far as I go.  So instead of “literal” Fall, I choose to select items from Pier 1 that are rich in textures with mixed metallic accents and some seasonal floral stems that are a little unexpected.

Thinking about building a table scape one layer at a time makes the entire process less stressful.  Starting with a linen feel tablecloth or runner is always a good start.  Fortunately Pier 1 has so many to choose from.  I decided to use a runner on a black wood table.  This allowed for two different textures and tones to be the base of the look.

For the placemats I stuck with a staple in my house, regardless of the season, natural woven placemats.  They instantly add warmth.  Layering the matte finished stoneware in black makes this setting feel casual with a modern edge.

The finishing touches really start to bring the table to life and subtly bring all of the Fall vibes!  By mixing rose gold flatware, a large ornate brass tray and wood touches like the napkin rings I was able to bring lots of visual interest to the setting.  Finishing the look with these natural Uva Stems and the fun orange pom pom onion balls the centerpiece evokes the colors of Fall in an exciting way.

I hope this gets you as pumped for all things Fall as I am!  And be sure to check out the October issue of HGTV Magazine + Food Network Magazine to see my Pier 1 table along with another design by Kristen Whitby of Ella Claire & Co.
