FLOS Taccia Lamp in Black on a Bar Cart.

As my style evolves, there is always one constant… I love a mix of styles.  I always have and always will.  Traditional mixed with Modern, mixed with Mid Century, mixed with you name it.  I especially love incorporating design oriented pieces that have stood the test of time.  Good design, no matter the era, can look as fresh and new today as the day it was created.  The same goes for my latest addition, the FLOS Taccia lamp.  This particular lamp was originally designed in the early 1960’s and the sculptural appearance still feels modern and new today.

My favorite aspect of the FLOS Taccia Lamp is the beautiful ambient light it emits.  It is the perfect lamp for evenings, nothing too abrasive just an inviting glow.  You can also reposition the bowl to direct the light in whatever direction or need you have.  They look amazing on their own, or in pairs.  As a floor uplight or on its own.  I choose to showcase mine on our acrylic and glass bar cart.  Having it on my bar cart allows the light to reflect through all of my decanters and bottles, as well as through the glass top creating an even brighter appearance.  It truly is a work of functional art.

It comes in a range of finishes, but I choose the black and chrome to pick up on the mirrored elements throughout the space.
