Our library is so close to being complete and I cannot wait to share it.  The last few details are being ironed out right now and a few new coffee table books were included, you know to help fill the shelves!  Fortunately, we built our shelves and I intentionally incorporated some larger openings to accommodate my go to form of research.  There is just something cathartic to me about flipping through those glossy pages for inspiration… especially in this day and age of constantly being plugged in and swiping one way or the other.

While we were on vacation in Savannah last week I picked up The Art of the Bar Cart: Styling & Recipes.  No joke, the week before during a magazine shoot, the crew and I were just saying how great a Bar Cart book would be! And voila.  This one did not disappoint.  It shares tips and tricks on styling bar carts based on certain cocktails and themes.  It also includes some recipes I am excited to try out.

The Decorated Home is on it’s way to me right now.  But it appears to be a great resource.  So not technically on my shelf right now, but it soon will be.

I also ordered House Beautiful’s Style Secrets: What Every Room Needs on pre order and was giddy when it arrived a few weeks back.  Each chapter is based on something every room needs like “A Splash of Unexpected Color” or “A Nod to the Past”.  And the imagery is fantastic.  It is a collection of some of my favorite spaces over the past few years.
