Who doesn’t love a Pink Tree?

Chloe’s tree is a pink tree. A teeny little pink tree we got at Kohl’s 2 years ago. We’ve put it up every year… but this was the first year she understood & was completely excited about putting it up. We asked her what color ornaments she wanted & she of course said “PINK” & sparklies… she is my daughter π We headed off to Hobby Lobby & literally spent $5 on ornaments for this tree. Love their 50% off Christmas sales in October!
After Chloe instructed me where the ornaments should go (I may have helped control that a bit… I know I’m going to have to let this control issue go very soon, but figured I at least had another year!) The tree needed a little something extra… I used the last bit of striped ribbon from our Kitchen Wreath & created a simple bow (more on that later) & then I slid an Anthropolgie cabinet pull that was lying around through the top. & I think it worked out pretty well as a topper!
My favorite wrapping paper is Kraft Paper. It is just so versatile. I am also getting on the Washi Tape band wagon. Simply wrap your packages with the Washi Tape instead of Ribbon & add a sticker, or a bow & your done! The giant flower was something we picked up a few months back in the sewing section… I didn’t have a use for it then, but what a special gift topper it made.
If you are looking for some other ways to fancy up some packages check out my new post over at Mohawk Carpet’s new blog Creative Home.
One of Chloe’s toy boxes got filled with all the extra ornaments for the added “sparklies” element she was looking for π You’ll also notice Chloe’s tree got a little Urn treatment too… only hers is a silver vase I picked up at the local Goodwill for about $2. I simply inserted a Styrofoam cone (upside down) & shoved the tree base into it. I tried to come up with a different term… but it literally was a shove.
Her favorite toy, her Pink Rocking Poodle, was pretty much my inspiration for her tree this year. What’s not to be inspired by… Pink, Black & Polka Dots. Just kind of screams little girl. Santa better step up his game if he wants to impress Chloe more than this Poodle did last year!
& of course she had to have a few teeny disco balls too.

By overwhelming request, I will be creating a tutorial this weekend on how to create all types of bows for your trees, wreaths & packages. Simple Bows, Wired Bows, Fluffy Bows… they’ll all be included. Be on the lookout for this at the beginning of next week.
Hope you all have a great weekend! & remember if you need any Holiday Inspirations check out the Holiday link at the top of the menu bar above or come on over & follow my Christmas board on Pinterest.

What fun! I was tempted this year to do a small tree in my kiddos room as well (It might deter them from the main one, maybe?)…I love the black and white striped bow, btw! You said you bought it? Love it π

Kristin, the wallpaper and aqua mirror were already fabulous. Then you added a pink tree…adore! Shared everywhere, you rock
