We all know I love sparkle & adding a little of the unexpected during the holidays, but a classic wreath with a simple bow makes me just as happy  This is a look that can’t go wrong (unless you are using ine of those flat plastic premade bows… come on… throw it away!  NOW!!)
I wanted to add a little Christmas into our tiny kitchen, & I knew if I tried to add a little tree or topiary on our non existent counter space the Hub’s would probably just give me the “Really?” look.  I’m sure you are familiar with that look, right?  So trying to keep the holiday peace, I added a wreath to our new (to us) hutch.  Simple.  Clean.  Classic.
The greenery against the glossy black paint, antiqued mirror & white ceramics was the perfect touch of Christmas in our little kitchen.
I couldn’t leave it at that.  There had to be a touch of sparkle… it is the holidays.  So I added some ornaments to the bowls that live on our shelves (& a few sprigs of fresh rosemary.)
Cute side story:  The little vase that is holding the rosemary sprigs was a Goodwill find a few weeks ago.  It was white, classic & $1.98 so of course I had to have it.  I didn’t notice until we got home that it had a handwritten inscription carved into it the bottom (before it was put in the kiln…) & it says “Merry Christmas Mom Love John 1984.”
That little glittered ornament was a project I did last year to update some old boring bulbs.  You can find that tutorial here.
I will miss these twinkle lights when they all come down…

For the Holiday Season I have added a new Holiday Tab to the menu bar.  This holds all the tutorials & links to any Christmas Decorations I have done the past two years.  Enjoy!
