You all know I am a sucker for chalkboards, any lettering done by chalk artist Dana Tanamachi (above image) & all things CHALK! I recently took over an entire wall in our kitchen in Chalk Paint & I absolutely LOVE it! (reveal coming soon, I swear!) The texture & depth it gives is unmatched. Plus, the littles absolutely loves drawing on the wall while we are trying to clean or cook. These are a few shots I was inspired by:

I thought the new header update seemed appropriate… a little more playful, a little less fussy…
Since I am in full on Minnie mode for the big 2 year’s old celebration this weekend, I decided to add Minnie to our new chalkboard. The first non scribble to adorn the wall. I’m almost done with it… but had to share my budding chalk artist at work…

I love chalkboards too! I painted our old toys cabinet in our first home a chalk board green (http://buhayatbahay.blogspot.com/2012/01/flashback-morton-grove-basementfamily.html).
I'm planning to paint our small foyer entry all chalkboard as well as a section in my laundry room! I think your little one is taking after you in more ways than one! π
Def on my list of things to incorporate in my new home! That Minnie is beyond impressive.
My parents just added one to their house and my dad likes to do different looney too. Characters for my son- its awesome!
