Being an Interior Designer, I pull together Inspiration Boards or Mood Boards a lot.  These help the clients see the potential of what their space could be!  The majority of the time not every item on the board ends up in the space due to budget, style, opinion, etc… So I couldn’t help but laugh at an episode of one of my favorite shows, Happy Endings (I mean, really, his food truck is called Steak Me Home Tonight.  Awesomeness!) The episode is about Jane trying to convince Penny to make a Vision Board for her life.  Well of course hilarity ensues for my viewing pleasure.  Well apparently I made a Vision Board (it’s called a List to Santa & one that I was entirely laughing at while putting together!) & it’s totally coming true!  Now granted, Santa provided the littles a stellar Christmas morning.  Me, eh… but I suppose I’ve grown patient in my old wiser years because

I got my first DSLR yesterday!  A Canon EOS Rebel T3 to be exact.  I LOVE IT!  But, I don’t know how to work it yet.  { emphasis on YET! }  First things first.  Read the Manual.  CHECK!  Second thing second (that doesn’t really work, but you get the point…) Read & do the homework from my friend Aimee’s killer tutorials on learning how to use a DSLR! Her hubs, aka STUD, is a photographer & she is sharing his instruction for the rest of us in non mechanical language.  Like comparing light sources to window treatments.  I totally get that!  So if you too are looking to improve the functions of your DSLR & switch to manual mode, be sure to head on over to  It’s Overflowing for the breakdown.  Not to mention amazing projects & recipes as well.

I know this is a super old post, but I was just wondering about your photography gear since you take such lovely photos. What lenses do you use?
