Happy Summer!!  Well, not officially, but y’all know what I mean.  The kiddos are out of school for the next two months & we are trying to pack all of the fun into eight short weeks.  They go back August 1st, which seems like the craziest thing in the world to me… but that is the date, so we will be having fun while we can.

I am excited to once again be a part of the Blogger Stylin’ Home Tour hosted by Lindsay from The White Buffalo Styling Co.  And if you are stopping by after Michael’s tour from Inspired by Charm, welcome!!

We haven’t had that many changes around the house these past few months, as I have been busy working with clients on some major projects that I can start sharing soon!!  So instead of a traditional Summer Home Tour, I am showing you what is really going on around here & some plans we have for the Summer.

We are at the pool nearly everyday and I truly think my daughter is part fish.  She loves to swim, so there is always a towel & swimsuit drip drying somewhere in the house (usually on the floor if I am being honest!).  And I may have stalked H&M to snag this darling swimsuit for my little lady… It sold out almost immediately, but I had to get it as it is in my favorite spotted print.  Very Kate Spade, no?!

Also, you may notice my newly stained black bathroom grout!  I still have to do a tutorial on that one.  I was so pleased with the results & still shocked you can stain grout.

Speaking of Kate Spade, here is my little’s newish room which was KS inspired.  I redid her space at the beginning of the year & we are still adding fun little elements as we find them.  My favorite thing at the moment is that the right side of her closet is full of freshly pressed school uniforms that I don’t have to iron for two months!! { Insert hand waving emoji here! } I love the ease of uniforms, but those pleats!  They wear me out!!

The latest addition to her room just might be the world’s cutest hamper.  I ran across this pineapple basket while at Homegoods and may or may not have run to it slow motion style to grab it!!!  I called my best friend Grace as soon as I nabbed it to share the news.  I may have looked like a crazy person, but it is so freaking cute!!!  And it fits perfectly in her little space.

I have tried locating the hamper online, but to no avail.

The only changes in our bedroom have been the drapery panels… and the only change has been that I finally hemmed them to the correct length! Ha.  It has only taken a year and a half.  But at least it finally happened.  I actually went through and hemmed every single panel in the house.  It was not a fun day, but necessary.  It has been nice finishing up little tasks like this I have had on the old to do list for a while!

And I have yet to tire of these antelope walls.  They still make me smile every. single. day.

We are also about to update our current ceiling fan situation… while not my first choice.  Ceiling fans are a necessity in the south.  So at least we will be updating to a sleeker option.

We are still loving our kitchen… and can not imagine how we ever made a meal in here previously with our 36″ or so of counter space.  The additional counters and storage have really improved our way of living.  And this banquette area became Kindergarten homework central this past year.

but our table currently looks like this! lol

We are party prepping for C’s 6th Birthday Party & decided to attempt a DIY Watermelon Piñata.  I am 3/4 of the way done and completely understand and appreciate the cost of custom piñatas on Etsy now!! These things are time consuming!  But at least it will be darling…

We’ll be transforming our Bocce Court (for the party only!) and I am looking forward to seeing this space all dressed up in bright colors for the big party! But adore the classic black and white stripes for the rest of the year.

And finally on our Summer to do list is building a new outdoor dining table.  We have already picked up all of the lumber, so if the weather cooperates we should be eating at that table pretty soon!

Next on the tour is the super talented (& sweet!!) Sarah M. Dorsey!!  So be sure to head over to see her beautiful tour.
And if you would like to follow along, here is the entire list of participants.
