As I mentioned yesterday, I have paired up with Target fancy up two spaces for the holidays.  A Traditional Space & a Non Traditional.  Today I am sharing my more Traditional Dining Table, with a twist of course.  Given that this corner is relatively neutral, it’s a great space to amp up for the season.  The biggest change is the addition of the wreath chandelier.  I took a 30″ pre-decorated Wreath (after removing the red poinsettias…) and simply attached two long pieces of ribbon to the back of the wreath.  I tied them on the back wire frame at four equal points so it would hang properly & used a small tea cup hook in the ceiling to hang the temporary chandelier.  It instantly added a Christmas feel to the space, and also made me realize how much I want a real chandelier in this space!  Are you reading this Santa?!
Another simple change was switching out a few of my regular pillows for some wintery versions… A beaded snowflake, faux fur & knitted pillow to be exact.
When dressing a Holiday Table, it’s fun to go for the glam.  I choose these textured chargers & paired them with the lovely scalloped dinnerware.  The decorative shape is festive enough for the holidays, but simple enough to keep in rotation year round.  I topped the plates with these gorgeous metallic dot napkins.  I nabbed the last two packs at my local Target, so if you can still find them be sure to grab yours too!  I created a simple pocket fold & made a little menu to slide in.  It’s fun to take your holiday table to the next level & a menu or place card definitely does the trick!  I added a little more sparkle to the napkins in the form of some statement earrings… Vintage Broaches would be beautiful too!
To finish off the table I filled three mercury glass jars (which look beautiful with candles flickering inside!) with some seasonal greenery & some holly from our front yard.  And also added the sweetest little polar bear salt & pepper shakers to add a little whimsy.
Target wants to help you bring a little Holiday Spirit into your home as well & they are gifting one of you a $100 Gift Card.  Just in time for the Holiday Season!  So be sure to enter the giveaway below!!  The winner will be notified next week.
