A bedroom really is all about the bed isn’t it?!  And coming from my hotel background, I really do love to treat a bed like it came out of a boutique hotel.  A beautiful headboard, luxurious linens & just enough pillows… the hubs might still say there are too many.  And while I love a clean white bed, all white bedding with a black border is even better in my book!  When I saw Crane & Canopy had introduced black as a color option in my favorite Linden bedding I knew it would be perfect for our new space.  We have their bedding in our daughter’s room as well (this one to be exact) & love how simple it is to dress a bed.  Their use of a concealed zipper in the duvets is so much easier than those pesky buttons that always break.
Needing a punch of color on this side of the room to compliment our artwork I decided on these Jonathan Adler Pillows.  They are bright & fun, which the space needed, but they still feel luxe thanks to the woven texture.  Sometimes bright patterns can feel more juvenile.  Incorporating them in spaces using rich textures elevates the look.

I decided to add another layer of texture to the bed with the use of a Sheepskin Rug.  These rugs are so versatile & look great just about anywhere: on the floor, draped over a chair, or in this case… used as a throw at the foot of our bed.

Unfortunately, our bedskirt & area rug were both HomeGoods finds years ago, so I can’t share the sources of those…  I was worried the area rug wasn’t going to work with the wall covering.  But fortunately when the rest of the room came together they both act as beautiful neutrals that compliment each other.

Thank you for all of the love about our new bedroom!  This week I’ll be sharing our final revamp of the year…. our bathroom!
