Laundry Room Inspirations
We are in the midst (literally, drills are going off in the background!) of redesigning our Laundry Room – cough cough – It’s a closet. This project has been on the old to do list for umm about six years. It is just one of those spaces where I have had zero inspiration for & honestly a complete disgust for. I am not a laundry fan first off, & it is also what we called the Black Hole. Things would go in there & never be seen or touched again. But in my need to feel inspired I took to the world wide web for some solutions I could take away for our little Laundry Closet.
First off… We are taking inspiration for our space. Our little closet wouldn’t even fit one of these machines (seriously, we have a stacker unit) but what I do love is the use of pattern. It makes doing the laundry a little more appealing to me. I also love the idea of creating a styled space vs a utilitarian one. While the space needs to serve a purpose it would be so much nicer if it were pretty too. Incorporating chunky baskets, glass canisters, etc are all things we can take into our own spaces regardless of style or budget.
This simple space is again enhanced by just a few unique additions to update your basic laundry routine. The painted checkerboard floor also adds such a timeless & classic element to this space.
What I wouldn’t give for this much space! I love the mix of open & closed storage. Being able to close off a few areas would certainly be a nice option. I am also head over heels for their folding table…
Another example of how a simple backdrop can be taken to the next level with creative placement of accessories. Love the old fashioned Candy Jar for those pods. And wouldn’t you know I just passed up two of those at Goodwill the other day… as Chloe would say “Awe Nuts!”
Well stay tuned for our reveal later this week. Hopefully it will help to inspire your space as well.

Check your inboxes ladies!!
I lerrrrv the wallpaper in the first couple of photos!! It's a great pop of "fun" in a not so fun space (not a huge fan of laundry at all).
That wallpaper in the top photo is calling my name. I can.not.wait until I can do laundry somewhere other than my dungeon basement. I usually run down there and back up as fast as I can before I get attacked by a mouse/werewolf.
We have a small laundry closet too and I've never really thought about doing anything special to it, but these pictures have me rethinking things! I did use one of those glass drink dispenser things to dispense my laundry detergent, it's a start π
I agree with Jennifer. . .that top room. Holy smokes. I have been wanting to redo ours as well. Can't wait to see your reveal, girl!
That pattern is amazing! Definitely would make me want to do laundry. Looking forward to seeing what you do!
Never mind the fabulous wallpaper or perfect organization, how about the fact that two of these images feature MULTIPLE washers and dryers! I'm jealous because a) who wouldn't want that much space, b) it would be awesome to get double the laundry done at once, c) those homeowners must have maids.
π
No doubt. Ours will not look like that! lol
My laundry's in the garage. Not a lot of love going on out there. But still, it's mine, all mine – so much better than the laundromat!
stop it with that wallpaper!!!! it's so amazing. so will your laundry closet when you're done!!
That wallpaper! How fabulous! I'd put that up in a second.. if only I had a laundry/closet room!
That first image is killer. Killer. So in love with that wallpaper!!
These laundry rooms definitely make laundry more glamorous! That wallpaper is so amazing. Can't wait to see what you pull together, doll! xo Big Hugs @ Waiting on Martha
I agree. Our laundry room is like the Bermuda Triangle. Love the color and baskets in the first one. Also the one with the white table. Great pictures! To change the subject, would you mind telling me where you found the cute little white tureen soup bowls pictured on your table in the dining room makeover? LOVE that bookcase around your doors and the fireplace wood idea. Wish I had both. One of my favorite pins! Thanks.
I can hardly wait to see what you come up with! Our laundry "room" aka the utilacorridor (because it is a hall/corridor from the garage into the house which houses all the utilities…i.e. washer, dryer, hot water heater, furnace, water softener) is a land mine waiting to trip anyone up. It is also a dumping place for all stinky sporting equipment and the "pantry." I love that I can do laundry at home but must admit it would be so nice to have a pretty, organized area. So now inspiration is waiting! π
I can't get enough of that pattern! Laundry rooms are no fun. We keep all our dog stuff in there too, and it's just a gross space…lint, dog hair, water bowl drippings…yuck! Can't wait to see what you do!
We renovated our laundry room last year (post below) and, while I do love it (and even hate laundry a little less) I'm now REALLY wishing I'd wallpapered it!! That first image is nuts! Can't wait to see how yours turns out.

I love the first wallpaper!
My laundry room is simply pathetic but I don't see that changing anytime soon π
Oh, I so love that little laundry nook and the first image is amazing!! The great thing about laundry's is you can go all out…mine is a too safe, maybe I'll go crazy when we move into our new home hopefully next year! xx
