I CANNOT believe it is time for turkey again!  Where has this year gone?  Time to look up some inspirations for the big Thanksgiving festivities.
Realistically, we usually have sooo much food that there is no room for the gorgeous centerpieces that I tend to save images of.  So this year, I am planning some things that can be integrated with all the food… I mean the Turkey is kinda the star of the show.

I am always a fan of white pumpkins & gourds.  This would work with all of our white tableware really letting the food stand out!  I also love the not so expected addition of the gold cutlery!  Let me repeat LOVE!  I suppose we will be waiting for Santa on that one. { HA }

Using neutral linens also help brighten up the typical burgundy, hunter green & gold that tends to be associated with this holiday.  These could also be reused for other celebrations instead of hiding in a drawer for the entire year.   I don’t know about you… But I don’t have the space to save completely different table settings for each holiday.  If you can’t find a table runner or cloth that you like, don’t forget to look at the fabric store!  Simply iron edges under to create a runner… no sewing needed.
This would be a fun way to bring in that gold accent at a much better price tag.

I am seeing a DIY on this one…

Chargers can also be a great way to layer a table.  Since we don’t usually use chargers on an every day basis, this makes the table feel special.

I think these beauties would look FANTASTIC!  Maybe we could DIY these for less….hmmmmm.

& don’t forget the Hardware Store!  Pebble Mosaic tile sheets as Placemat/Chargers.
Place cards are also a special touch.  Think of using some of these easy diy ideas for your table.

& just repeat this throughout the month!

{ UPDATE: Here are some pictures from what our table ended up looking like this year. }

We have had these old boards under our deck since we moved in.  I pulled one out wiped it down with bleach to kill…well…anything that was on it.  After that dried I then wiped it down with Liquid Gold Furniture Polish.  This board was the PERFECT trivet!  All the hot plates went straight down.  I then added simple white painted pumpkins (left over from Halloween).

Apparently, I only have four placemats in any pattern, so I took my DwellStudio placemats & incorporated Chargers for the additional 2 place settings.  Using the variation in plate shapes, & linens brought a modern feel to the table this year.

We also have a giant chalkboard in our dining room.  This year I filled it with all the things we are thankful for… & yes in our family we are thankful for bacon!
